Remote viewing is about as far from a science as can be - in fact, much closer to magic. When you close your eyes and let your imagination conjure up images, you never know where they are coming from. Hopefully they are related in some way to your target, but that's not always the case. Occasionally, quality perceptions about your target are polluted by other perceptions due to mental noise, your concerns of the day, the morning traffic, an old friend that you are about to see, dinner last night, dinner tomorrow, or something in your near future that you need to be aware of, etc, etc. A random thought is never random - it always comes from somewhere. Either it's related or caused by something - i.e.: you hear a bang and you visualize a gun shot, or the thought is a result of your intention i.e.: your target, or it's some fleeting bit of information from your future or past.
Following are examples of some of these off beat oddities that happened to me either during a remote viewing session, or dream. I present them here as merely entertaining anecdotes - I cannot prove that any of them are anything more than mere coincidences, nor will I try.
Swiss Air 111 crash.
Aug 31, 1998 - I climbed up to the roof of our office building in downtown Calgary, dug out the lawn chair from behind the stair well, and sat out to enjoy the hot summer afternoon. I also had to work on a few remote viewing sessions that were due for feedback in about 30 days, so I thought that doing it in the sun-light would be a nice change from my lazy-boy chair. It took about 30 minutes to reach a relaxed state of mind, and I started to focus upon my first remote viewing session. Suddenly, I saw a big airplane crash into a large body of water. For some reason, I did not think that this perception had anything to do with my target, and wasn't even going to write it down. I wrote it down anyway, and also recorded my thought that the perception might not be target related.
Two days later, Swiss Air flight 111 crashed into the Pacific Ocean killing 229 people.
Shane.
During a warm down period before commencing a remote viewing session, I had a very vivid image of an old friend - Shane Nokes. I don't know Shane all that well, and see him at the most, a couple of times a year - He's more of a friend of a friend actually. To see Shane's face was a surprise, and I knew that it couldn't have been related to my target because I had not yet started to focus upon the target feedback time.
Two hours later, on my way home, while stopped at a traffic light, someone ran up to my car and started rapping on the hood. Startled, I looked up from my daze, and there was Shane.
Tornado.
I awoke startled one early summer morning, with a vivid dream still fresh in my mind. I was standing on a hill watching a funnel cloud moving toward a barn. The tornado was very distinctive - it was a very narrow, tall, funnel, twisting and winding it's way through the valley. I saw it tear apart the barn. Then I was at the barn looking at the disaster, The barn's wall and roof was gone and I could see the second floor from outside the building. A man was standing on that floor, and he kept telling me "don't worry - we're just thankful that nobody was hurt".
I got out of bed and went downstairs. Out of the corner of my eye, I saw a familiar picture on one of the TV monitors in the theater. It was the same funnel cloud that I saw in my dream. I quickly turned the sound up - it was the morning local news reporting that a tornado touched down just south of Calgary and had hit a farmer's barn early that morning. I watched the interview of the farmer. He was standing on the second floor of his barn that you could see from outside the barn because the wall and roof were gone. He just kept telling the TV reporter "we're just thank full that nobody was hurt"
Local Crime Scene.
Again, I awoke early in the morning started by the vivid memory of a dream. I was a passenger in a white car and I couldn't see the driver's face. We were driving down 11th Avenue and drove by a restaurant that was the scene of a crime of some sort. The restaurant was surrounded by a yellow police tape and various patrol cars. Our white car suddenly turned the next corner, skidded out of control and smashed into a lamppost denting the front right corner of the vehicle.
On my way into work that morning, I was shocked to notice various police vehicles around the exact same restaurant as was in my dream! I was even more surprised to see the yellow police tape surrounding the location. Parked inside the tape and next to the restaurant was a white car with the right front corner smashed in.
Barkley.
During a recent remote viewing session, I had a very vivid impression of a fellow that used to work at the coffee shop where I stop to buy a coffee every morning. His name is Barkley, and it had been at least two years since he quit. I hadn't seen him since, and why I even remembered his name is a mystery. Later that day, I saw my target feedback and was a bit curious as to why someone who looked like Barkley did not exist in my target as I had expected.
That evening, I took my wife and kids out to dinner and our waiter was - well, need I even say?
Anders.
This strange coincidence proves that remote viewing can happen in our daily lives - you don't always have to be in a deep trace. This one happened during a conversation - not a dream or a remote viewing session. I was out for dinner with my wife and another couple and we were talking about girls kissing each other. Don't ask how we got onto that obscure topic - I don't even remember. I shared an incident that I had witnessed in a bar, about a year ago. I saw a girl that I used to know sucking a lime from the mouth of her friend as entertainment for the guys in the group. It was some kind of tequila shooter ritual. In trying to explain who she was to my friends, I somehow wanted to relate an old employee of mine - Anders - to her - they were somehow related through work after he had left my employ, but I don't remember how. In fact, I don't even know why I thought of him, nor do I recall how he was related to her. The fact was, I had switched to an attempt to get my friends to remember who Anders was, and had forgotten about the original focus of the conversation - the girl. I wondered how he was doing and what he was up to.
That evening, we all went to a movie. In the theater, I was immersed in a conversation with my friend, while our wives were buying popcorn. Someone moved down the isle and sat down in the seats we had reserved for our wives. I leaned over my friend and said to the strangers: "I'm sorry, but these seats are reserved". One of the fellows looked at me and said "Well hello Greg, do you remember me? It's Anders!"
A Close Call.
Sept 11, 1998 - I was driving home late last night. It was dark and there was little traffic. I was out of the city limits in the country very near my home driving on a narrow two lane highway. My mind was deep in thought about the day's activities - my research, results and their implications. I wondered how one could experience psi more in everyday life - without remote viewing blind targets. I imagined that it might manifest itself as a surprising thought or reaction - a sudden unrelated, uncausal thought or action. I wondered how I could train myself to 'allow' those spontaneous precognitive psi 'preactions' (as opposed to reactions) to occur more often. My mind then wondered back to it's original thread of thought when all of a sudden I realized that I was driving in the on-coming lane. I was very surprised and bewildered and jerked my truck back into it's proper lane. Bewildered as to why I had just done that, I realized that I had subconsciously turned on my left hand turn signal and actually changed lanes as if my south-bound road had two lanes. There was nothing around me that would have caused that reaction. No traffic in front of me, I was miles from my turn, no distractions or surprises - yet it felt so natural - like I just HAD to change lanes - a knee-jerk reaction sort of. It was similar to the feeling you get when to almost drive past your turn.
As I wondered why that had happened to me, it occurred to me that perhaps it was a psi 'preaction' to an an event that had not yet played out. The first thing that came to mind was perhaps a deer darting out from within the trees into the path of my on-coming vehicle. I slowed down and watched the trees for a deer. Then - there he was! A big buck jumped onto the hi way from within a clump of trees and ran directly in front of my truck. Startled (again), I slammed on my breaks - everything I had placed on the seats went flying onto the floor - I just barely missed hitting the deer.
Perhaps this was an answer to my earlier question. All one need do if
one wishes to experience psi more in everyday life is post a mental request
for it.
