 | Creative The design process for me is completely centered around the computer. I use various three dimensional modeling applications to create my virtual worlds where a cog can be the size of a large building and a bolt might appear as massive as a mountain. I then 'explore' these cyber spaces with a virtual camera until I spot a dramatic composition. Not unlike the photographer, in these virtual spaces, I'm looking for the perfect frame for his the painting. When the shot is found, various prints are created, and colors shifted until the perfect combination is found. |
 | Production All of my work is painstakingly hand painted. The paint is applied by brush, and dense opacity is obtained by applying a generous two to three coats or more of rich color to the canvas. To achieve the striking dimensional photo-realism, I use an airbrush to form depthy shadows and delicate highlights. The Paintings These painting are NOT prints or silkscreens, but real paintings on canvas. Each painting is an actual original hand painted work. |
